Project Overview
Pluralsight is the premier platform for technical educators to build their brand, get paid, and shape the future of tech up-skilling. As a product designer on the Author Team, I helped design and consolidate disparate content management tools into a cohesive, holistic platform experience.
My Contributions
I collaborated closely with designers across various product pillars to unify our tools into a single platform. This involved organizing and leading weekly stand-ups and critiques. For design and prototyping, I used Figma, while Optimal Workshop was my go-to for card sorting tests to shape the information architecture. Given that this was a new product experience, I also contributed to the Pluralsight Design System with new components.
Research & Discovery
Desperate tools call for desperate times

Ad hoc workflows caused frequent human errors, made it difficult for Pluralsight to track the content lifecycle, and incurred high costs due to enterprise licenses for the multiple tools we used internally.
During Voice of the User interviews with Author Success Managers and Pluralsight Authors, we identified common friction points in creating and managing content for the Pluralsight learner platform. Internally, the business relied on Google Sheets and Trello cards, while creators used Dropbox and Google Docs alongside their content editing tools. To address this, we decided to centralize the content management process into a single platform that serves both Pluralsight authors and internal teams.
How might we centralize the content management process in order to reduce friction and improve efficiency for both Pluralsight authors and internal teams?
Designing the Solution & Results
A new central platform to manage both your content and your relationship as an author with Pluralsight.

Features I designed for this platform include a Home Dashboard and an Author Profile Management Center. These tools enable authors to track content in progress, manage existing content, and control their voice and image on the Pluralsight platform.
With a dedicated centralized experience for Authors on Pluralsight, we eliminated the need for master Google Sheets and Trello cards. Authors could work more quickly and independently, reducing their reliance on Author Success Managers. This also allowed us to unblock the product roadmap and start replacing tools like Tableau with an integrated analytics experience.
