Case study
Pattern helps global brands grow faster and sell more on ecommerce marketplaces. As their Lead UX/UI Designer, I led the design strategy to integrate their newly acquired PIM/DAM tools, helping Pattern establish themselves as a Product Experience Management (PXM) leader.
I also designed two 0-1 AI product experiences turning manual headaches into streamlined automation for thousands of product listings across Amazon.
Process
How could we help brands quickly optimize listings without adding more work?
Our users - marketing managers, copywriters, and creative directors - all had the same issue: they could only focus on the top 10% of listings because updating thousands manually wasn’t realistic. That left the rest of the listings outdated and underperforming, limiting their potential reach and sales.
"I can't keep the 10,000 listings I manage fresh with optimized content. I just focus on the top 10% of performers."
After a series of discovery and workshops with Pattern's CEO, Chief Brand Officer, and Director of AI, our product team built an AI-powered Content Optimization & Creative Brief experience that updated listings by pulling from each brand’s unique voice and competitive keyword data, while following compliance rules for different platforms.
Outcome
When we launched, the tool boosted visibility and engagement across channels and got great feedback from users.
This project reminded me of the power of frequent feedback from stakeholders and how important it is to adapt designs based on user input. In the end, we gave brands an easy way to turn missed opportunities into wins.
